About Keratosis Pilaris

Keratosis pilaris is perifollicular hyperkeratosis with little, spiny hyperkeratotic follicular papules of normal skin color, either grouped or spread out, mostly on the extensor surfaces of the extremities (shoulders, upper arms, thighs, buttocks), and occasionally the cheeks of the face.  The condition is better in summer, in humid climates and worse in winter and cold, dry climates.

Treatments: My Approach

My holistic approach to keratosis pilaris involves optimizing the condition of the skin through diet, herbs, and nutritional supplements. I also utilize topical formulations to improve the condition of the skin.
